Other administrations have made wise choices and much more diametrically opposed. For example, the Tuscany region
launched on 1 July 1999, a Regional Law (No. 36) entitled Guidelines for the use of herbicides and non-farm geodisinfestanti and procedures for the use of herbicides and in geodisinfestanti agriculture.
In Article 6 it states that the products used should be of minimal environmental persistence examined for product registration and label claims must not indications of toxicity to aquatic and terrestrial fauna, as well as the microflora and microfauna (thus automatically excludes the use of glyphosate). 36 The same law also provides that any person who for himself or for third parties, products containing substances that act geodisinfestante and herbicide, for use for non-agricultural purposes must apply for and obtain the go-ahead to health in the Department of Prevention Azienda USL responsible for the area ... the area treated must essere delimitata e segnalata da parte dell’operatore addetto al trattamento con cartelli di pericolo e di divieto di accesso alle persone non autorizzate sia durante il trattamento che per tutto l’intervallo di agibilità, stabilito in almeno 48 ore …le aree interessate dai trattamenti devono trovarsi a non meno di 10 metri dalle abitazioni e dai ricoveri degli animali … le aree interessate dai trattamenti devono altresì trovarsi a non meno di 10 metri dalle strade di pubblico passaggio.
Anche la Provincia di Olbia, già nel 2008, ha varato un regolamento che vieta tassativamente l’uso di diserbanti al di fuori delle aree coltivate ed inoltre nelle norme approvate da numerosi comuni italiani all’interno dei Regolamenti di Polizia rurale e in quelli relativi al Verde pubblico e privato non mancano indicazioni specifiche che vietano l’uso della pratica del diserbo nei margini stradali e al di fuori delle aree coltivate.
CHE FARE?  | Una manifestazione di protesta per chiedere una legge che divieti il diserbo al di fuori delle aree coltivate in tutto il territorio regionale.
