Travel Italy - Day I: At the dawn of the Carolingian Empire
Come forse molti lettori avranno già capito sono marchigiano e adoro la mia terra. Da qualche anno a questa parte ho in mente di fare un viaggio "alternativo" che mi permetta di godere a pieno dei luoghi visitati, non solo delle Marche, ma anche di altre regioni. Proprio per questo motivo ho deciso di percorrere la nostra cara Italia in bicicletta da Ovest ad Est toccando, di volta in volta, luoghi, secondo me, significativi. The trip will depart from the Adriatic coast (Porto Sant 'Elpidio) and ends with the arrival of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The goal I have not decided yet, are in doubt between Tuscany (which however will cross) and Liguria. Since I have little time to devote more and I started to plan your trip well in advance as you can see, hoping to arrive in August 2011 with everything you need ready.

Over the next few posts dedicated to this event will report the location, stage by stage, with the places you plan to visit and some understanding of history that I found about it. On my return also insert the travel diary and the best shots of this long-awaited adventure. Greetings to all. :)
